repairs galore

Dust is an ever present companion here. More so when your apartment is being renovated! We have just renewed the contract to stay another year and during the process pointed out various water damage originating from the outside. What we thought would be a simple seal and patch job has turned out to be a massive undertaking involving: ripping out the entire cement floor of the roof balcony; tearing out of the insulation from the outside of the building (they insulate outside-in, rather than on the inside, here.); and the resultant dust is terrible. Just terrible!

But I suppose it will stop the leaks. We’ll see!
